Fram Centre turns into COP26 hub!

We would like to invite everybody at the Fram Centre to join us when the Fram Centre turns into a COP26 Hub. We will establish a live link to Glasgow as we stream the side event on “Arctic Climate and Health Implications of Short-Lived Climate Forcers” and enable people at Fram Centre to ask questions to the experts onsite in Glasgow.

When: November 3rd at 13:45 – 15:30 Tromsø time

Where: Kompasset, FRAM II

Who: The Arctic Council Working Groups the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP) and Arctic Contaminants Action Program (ACAP)

What: Arctic Climate and Health Implications of Short-Lived Climate Forcers

Short-lived climate forcers (SLCFs) impact both the climate and air quality, including significant implications for human health. Immediate reductions in emissions of SLCFs can provide near-term climate benefits while also promoting cleaner air. AMAP will present findings of its most recent assessments and elaborate on policy implications, while ACAP will show two examples demonstrating sectoral/national and community efforts to reduce SLCF emissions

Representatives from the AMAP and ACAP secretariats will welcome you at Kompasset and give a brief overview of some key findings and initiatives that will be presented during the sessions before we start streaming at 14:00. The session’s Q&A part will invite the audience onsite and in the remote hubs to ask questions – this includes the Fram Centre Hub!

If you have any questions, please get in touch with Kristina Bär at the Arctic Council Secretariat: kristina@arctic-council.org.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Fram Centre COP26 Hub!
