Incentiv call 2023

Incentive funding can support any of the following:

  • workshops
  • network building
  • activities which will contribute to acquisition of external financing
  • pilot projects with a view to larger projects

 

The call has the following strategic priorities;

  • The activity must contribute to the Fram Centre objective and cooperation goals.
  • The activity must be something innovative.
  • Each application must include 3 Fram Centre members.
  • Activities significantly involving early career researchers and/ or themes not prioritized in other current Fram Centre programmes and projects, will be prioritized.
  • Trans/inter disciplinary activities will be prioritized.

 

Given an anticipated total financing of 1,3 million for available projects, we aim to fund projects with maximum budget of 250 000. The project funds should be utilized in 2023.

The application form consists of the following sections

1.       Title of the project/activity

2.       Project/activity leader

3.       Project/activity leader email

4.       Project/activity administrative leader

5.       Project/activity administrative leader email

6.       Name of lead institution

7.       What type of activity are you  applying for?

8.       Project/activity plan with short description of objectives, relevance, impact and at least one specified deliverable (max 550 words)

9.       How will this project contribute to the main objective of the Fram Centre and cooperation goals?

10.   What is innovative in the activity (short answer)

11.   Institutions in the Fram Centre who are involved

12.   Other partners

13.   Briefly outline the role of the partners (short answer)

14.   Describe activities which significantly involve early career researchers and/or themes not prioritized in other current Fram Centre programs and projects (short answer)

15.   Describe trans/inter disciplinarity of the project (short answer)

16.   Funding requested, including budget (specified by activities/institutions/own institutional funding

Only applications submitted via the online form will be considered for financing. Proposals can be written in Norwegian or English

 

Evaluators

The evaluation committee is appointed by the Research leader Group (FLG) and approved by the Steering Group (SG) and conflicts of interest*(CoI is described below) will be handled appropriately. The evaluation committee will consist of representatives from the programs (a balance of disciplines inc. Social Scientists and Humanities (SSH)) FLG chair, FLG vice chair and Research coordinator.

* What is a conflict of interest?

CoI exists when you:

·    are and/or were involved in the preparation of any proposal submitted to the topic

·     are a director, trustee or partner or is in any way involved in the management of an applicant legal entity (or third party involved in the action).

·     are employed or contracted by one of the applicant legal entities (or third parties involved in the action)

·    benefit should any proposal(s) submitted to the topic be accepted or rejected

·   have a close family or personal relationship with any person representing an applicant legal entity (or named third parties) involved in the preparation of the proposal
